Starslayer is a science-fiction, skirmish-level miniatures wargame that chronicles the larger events of our own galaxy. The first product in this Universe, Starslayer: Genesis, describes the state of the Perseus Arm at the midpoint of Terras twentieth century. Future products will develop this background and add new antagonists as the fight against the Starslayers becomes a battle for the survival of the galaxy itself!
The focus of Starslayer is on the politically d Perseus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. It is here that the pathologically curious Vobian Empire (known to many as the "Puppetmasters") have been taking the cream of Earths genetic crop for centuries, in order to satisfy their questions about human nature. Long has humanity lived in the shadow of the Vobians. Until now.
Recent events at the Eta Carina Nebula have announced the coming of a new power to the galaxy: the Starslayers. Able to harness the energy of the stars themselves, these mysterious beings have acted as a catalyst, spurring mankind, newly confident in his ability to throw off the Vobian yoke, towards unity and galactic ascendance. All the while, the voracious empire of the Meraxilla, ever a thorn in the side of the Puppetmasters, remains a galactic wild card. Possessed of amazing genetic variability, the Meraxillan Empire continues to expand its territories, coming into conflict with man and Vobian alike.
