The Tone Capsule is a unit that modifies the circuit characteristics of the original Blues Cube by attaching it to the Blues Cube guitar amplifier. While the original Blues Cube features a thick, loose sound based on the feel of a 6L6 vacuum tube circuit, the Ultimate Blues Tone Capsule delivers the sweet, deep, compressed feel of a 6V6 vacuum tube circuit. Thats exactly the kind of sticky sound you get when you crank up a small Blackface amplifier thats been used in many historic recordings using a 6V6 vacuum tube. Amplifiers using a 6V6 vacuum tube typically do not produce a large output and may not provide sufficient headroom, but the combination of the Blues Cube and the Ultimate Blues Tone capsule allows you to play 6V6-type sounds in the headroom of the Blues Cube. Under the supervision of talented blues guitarist Kirk Fletcher, the Ultimate Blues Tone Capsule was created in response to Kirks demand for a balance between soulful clean tones and sweet crunch tones.
