About this product
The two grain compatible Japanese cypress cutting boards are made of Japanese cypress from natural forests in Kumamoto, Japan.
Each piece is dried at low temperature in a vacuum tank by high-frequency heating to prevent potential cracks and to avoid losing the woods natural properties such as strength and aroma.
Boumbi cypress cutting boards are joined to avoid splitting and deformation
The soft grain of the cypress wood makes cutting without dulling your knives, and the beautiful rings of the wood bring cleanliness and comfort to your kitchen.
The phytoncide in the cypress wood prevents mold from forming easily and emits a subtle fragrance.

Hinoki (Japanese cypress)
Hinoki comes from Japan. Its leaves and wood contain 1% essential oil, which is used medicinally. Hinoki has excellent quality because it contains a large amount of natural component called phytoncide. It is also highly water-resistant, so when it comes in contact with water, its unique aroma spreads thickly and eliminates miscellaneous odors, so it is often used as a material for cutting boards these days.
