The HAPYSON Electric Line Winder, a topic of conversation since the Fishing Show, has been released. Though not initially deemed essential, requests for reviews and inquiries about its compatibility with the ultimate spooling system prompted a trial purchase. This device, known as the Electric Line Winder YH-800, allows for easy, reliable, and speedy winding and tensioning of the PE line onto reels. It proves to be a handy tool for applying tension while winding the line onto a reel, especially useful for replacing old PE lines used in Super Light Jigging (SLJ).

Upon testing with the Ultimate Spooling Spool HD (Black), it worked well for winding, starting rotation with the "ON" button and stopping with a red "OFF" button. Operating with one hand on the reel and the other ensuring even line distribution, it seems using your foot for control is best. The winding speed is adjustable, with the highest setting "7" being relatively slow, taking about 20-25 seconds to wind 10 meters. The winding speed varies with the spool diameter, suggesting longer spools might wind faster; however, winding 100m takes about 200 seconds, and 300m takes about 600 seconds (10 minutes).

Although this might seem slow, slowing down towards the end of winding is safer, making it advisable to reduce the speed to "3" or "4" for the last 5 meters. The ultimate spool is not only great for washing off salt or applying a coat but also convenient for disposing of the line. A large spool of Shimanos EX8PE (No.8-600m) was tested and, although it was a tight fit, it could be attached, indicating that most spool lengths could likely be accommodated.

Next, winding the line onto a reel with the Electric Line Winder, which allows for tension adjustment, was attempted. It appears that without pulling the line from above, as shown in the photos, tension does not apply in reverse. The tension setting ranges from 1 to 7, with a maximum of about 3kg. The initial winding felt slightly heavy, but once the electric tension began, consistent tension could be maintained.

The device makes a whining noise when applying tension electrically. As I currently do not have a large-diameter spool like Oddsport to test, it seems most spools can be fitted based on the inquiries received.
