Please check the photo, this is Miyagawa Akamonzen-to, a large Koppa from west Kyoto. For middle process of knives, carpentry tools. As well as other mines, Monzento ended mining in 1975. From this fact, Monzento is getting rare these days in Japanese market. Soft & water absorption is pretty quick, also the slurry comes out quickly, Easy to use.Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since theyre harder to use. These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured sizes are not accurate. This is a lifetime investment for people who live sharpening their tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.”
