About the company Peter Ulbricht
Your family business has a development history that is typical of the place. With the decline of tin mining, the “ancestors” were forced to find other sources of income. Samuel Gottlob Ulbricht was the first wood turner in her family between 1771 and 1837. Until then, his ancestors were miners. Since then, her family has made a living from producing handmade original Seiffen wooden toys and wooden art items. First, utensils were made. Around 1880, his great-great-grandfather August Hermann Ulbricht made the first “Seiffener Reiterlein”. His son Ewald Ulbricht introduced after the 1st World War II chalked and painted roller riders. Various driving games were also produced. His father, Klaus Ulbricht, who ran the family business until 2000, made not only miners bands but also the well-known climbing figures such as mountaineers, climbing monkeys and various others. Since the business has been in his hands, their product range has expanded. Your originals, 100 percent made in Seiffen, are created with a high proportion of handwork.
