PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Vu-Flow/Rusco T-style screen water filter system is designed to be utilized in a wide variety of cold water applications. From keeping sand and large particles out of your lawn and turf irrigation system to removing sediment as part of your whole home filter, this versatile filter is also indicated for factories, livestock feeding systems and advanced liquid cooling systems. Sediment is visible through the clear filter cover making it easy to identify when the filter needs cleaning. Quickly and easily remove sediment by opening the ball valve at the bottom of the filter cover.
This complete filter system includes:
* A clear cover made of high impact polymer resin for maximum strength and durability
* The filter body (the top T-connection) made of PVC material with 2" slip x slip connections in and out
* 1/2" ball valve and spool of thread seal tape
* A reusable polyester filter element in 100 mesh
* Vu-Flow NT200-100P or Rusco 2-100-F
Please note! T-style filter systems are identified by the port size and not by the diameter or length of the filter element. This 2" system indicates that the top inlet/outlet installation port (the "tee") is 2" PVC. The screen element used in this 2" filter system measures 10" x 1-7/8". Vu-Flow and Rusco are identical brands from the same manufacturer out of the same location in Brooksville, Florida. Depending on your location you may receive Vu-Flow or Rusco branded items.
A variety of polyester and stainless steel element options are also available (sold separately). Which size mesh is best for your use? In general, use the coarsest screen deemed necessary to filter the material you want removed. This will result in longer runs between blow-downs. The manufacturers recommendations are provided in the chart below:
